this quilt is ultra soft, hand quilted and made of fine cotton voile. it is filled with light, hand selected and combed cotton. it is reversible for a decorative look on the bed and has a contrasting flat piping detail. it is the most beautiful product to use during the hot summer months, with just the right weight to feel comforted in case one sleeps in a room with the air conditioning or during the rest of the year on its own or over the duvet. the matching light summer cover is a great complementary product for the hot season.

you can wash it yourself in the machine, if you have a big capacity up to 30° on a short cycle and a delicate detergent, tumble only very short and lightly, take the piece out very damp, carefully stretch that the quilting stays intact and hang to dry, out of the sun. otherwise let the dry cleaners do it for you if you do not feel confident ! i would always recommend the professional approach here!

this item is hand block printed with hand carved wooden blocks. depending on the complexity and colorways of the print , each color requires its own block. during the printing process it is layered on top of one another on five meter long printing tables and length of pre-washed and conditioned runs of cotton cloth in different counts and thicknesses, depending on the product.- when pigments start to accumulate in the carvings of the seasoned, teak blocks, they need to be re-carved and renewed in order not to lose the crispness of the design.
block printing is an ancient craft, not easily sustainable today, for it requires master craftsmen who are dedicated and passionate about their work- its a hugely skilled and labor intensive, manual process. In airy big printing halls the fabrics are printed and under the same roof stitched after my design and specifications. In jaipur, rajasthan, india , my hub and second home and one of the most creative and productive places for the making of textiles and crafts.
because of the intrinsic and handmade nature of my products, please allow little irregularities, slight overlaps in lines, slight variation in shades- this belongs to and makes these items exude its special charm.
